As is commonly known, Vodka is an alcoholic beverage that originated in Eastern Europe. There is a bit of a debate over its place of origin with both Russia and Poland claiming the honour. Today Vodka is manufactured all over the globe from Canada to Australia. There are also many varieties and flavourings that are common to the beverage. Flavored Vodka Manufacturers are putting out several flavoured varieties in the market as there is a huge demand for it.

Vodka Manufacture Process

The main ingredient in the vodka manufacture process is some kind of fermented cereal. Typically used cereals are rice or oats. In some cases fermented potatoes are also used. Fruit is used as the main ingredient in fruit vodka making. However fruit vodkas are different from fruit flavoured vodka. Like other alcoholic spirits, Vodka is made using a fermentation procedure. The fermented grain is heated and then the vapour is condensed to create a new substance. This process is called distillation and is usually followed by rectification. Rectification is a process of purification that helps kill microorganisms and render the drink safe.

Flavored Vodka Manufacturer

Once the vodka is made it is infused with different substances to manufacture flavoured vodka. The most common vodka flavours are lime, mango, orange, watermelon, coconut, cinnamon, coffee, strawberry, rose etc. To manufacture flavoured vodka the beverage is infused with the flavouring substance, typically fruit, for a period of three to five days. The bottle needs to be stirred or shaken daily. After the first three days the beverage begins to take on the colour of the fruit. Sometimes a little sugar syrup is also added to enhance the taste. If you want a stronger taste, you need to infuse the vodka for longer. Flavoured spirits are not the same as liqueurs however, as liqueurs have a large sugar content.

Final Words

The flavoured spirits market is dominated by flavoured vodka or rum because both are neutral spirits that do not have either odour or colour. Vodka is easy to distill as it does not require any complicated ingredients. It can be made with virtually any kind of fermented cereal. Its infusion is also a simple job that can even be achieved at home. However, flavoured vodka manufacturers are always trying to introduce new varieties to the market in order to suit the taste buds of a variety of patrons.
