An overview of Ayurveda Courses

Ayurveda is an ancient science that not only teaches how to cure an ailment, but it also talks about the ways which can be adopted to lead a happy and healthy life. This is the reason, it’s so unique and so popular today.

Ayurveda has been here since 1500BC, but it was not very popular a few decades ago. People knew about its existence and but nobody cared much to bring it into life and the transform the way we lead our lives. In the last a few decades there has been a lot of talk about Ayurveda. May be the changing life and working styles and exposure to different forms of the medicines made people to look for a system that offers solutions – real solutions and works to enhance ones by bringing health and peace. This shift it thought made people return to nature and natural forms of healing. Yoga, meditation and Ayurveda are some of subjects that offered peace to the restless minds.

Today, Ayurveda is very much popular and this popularity is growing every day. There are many Ayurveda courses in India and abroad which are helping people learn Ayurveda and practice it for a better way of living lives.

Talking about the different courses available, they can broadly be categorized into two categories – medicinal and massage therapies. The first teaches how to diagnose certain disease and how to cure them using different herbs. How to balance Kapha, Pitta, and Vata. How to find certain dosha and how to help one heal from using different Ayurveda medicines.

The second type of courses teach and make them practice Ayurveda massage therapies which help to rejuvenate and heal. There are many types of courses on ayurveda therapy training india. Shirodhara, Abhyangam, Utaan, Njavarkijhi, Udvartana, Garshana etc. are some of the different forms of Ayurveda massage therapies. All these individual massage therapies have their own benefits. They do not work relaxes human body but works to rejuvenate completely. Some of the such massages are performed using oil, some uses herb pastes, and some are done dry. A student pursuing courses on Ayurveda therapies are taught about all such therapies. They get to learn the principals in theory in detail and then practical sessions are arranged for practising therapies.

On the completion of courses, students undergo exams based on which their skills are evaluated. On the successful completion of courses, students are awarded with certificates. Such certificates are extremely helpful for their further career development in the field of Ayurveda healing.

Some of the courses like head massage training has been available for very long. But it does not necessarily teach the concepts of Ayurveda. However, there are certain courses in Ayurveda about head massage as well. But they may or may not be available separately as a course.
