My New Kitchen Sink

A farmhouse sink installed in my new kitchen cabinets will make the room more functional and easy to work in. I had to have a professional build a custom sink base for the special sink that I found. When I designed the kitchen I added more cabinets and counter space. I also planned for a farmhouse style sink that has the 10" apron front.

The sink is 10 inches in depth and fits a 33" sink base. I wanted a sink made from stainless steel because it is durable and easy to keep clean. Stainless steel will last through generations of cooking while still looking great. The material will also match the large appliances that I have installed. With everything matching, the kitchen looks modern and has a great flow.

My new farm house kitchen is the most functional kitchen that I’ve ever had thanks to the farmhouse sink that I had installed. It took me a while to find a double bowl farmhouse sink but when I did, I knew it was perfect. The stainless steel will hold my cast iron skillets allowing me to wash them without worry of cracking the sink. I can get my canning jars cleaned and sanitized in no time at all. When I pick fresh vegetables from the garden I have the second sink bowl to soak them in so that I get all the dirt off. My new farmhouse sink has given me the ability to work in the kitchen in a timely manner. I enjoy the days when I can spend time baking, cooking, and canning instead of fighting the old small sink, less than functional cabinets, and small countertop.

The day that I found a double bowl farmhouse sink and had it installed in my country kitchen, was a great day. The kitchen looks modern and functional without taking away from the country casual look that I love. The stainless steel sink stays clean and free of bacteria. I couldn’t be happier with my kitchen renovation and especially with the double bowl farmhouse sink.
