Prologue

Affiliate marketing is becoming an important source of customer acquisition; ad networks create a network of affiliate organizations that refer customers to its site through internet. It makes business quite straightforward and helps to boost ROI. Hence it is springing up ubiquitously, and has become the linchpin of online marketing.

Importance Of Alert In Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a blend of advertising and innovation that helps ad networks and affiliates elevate their businesses in ever-changing ways. To drive a flourishing Affiliate marketing, a high quality affiliate tracking application is always required. Alert or notification is an essential part of it. Because while ad-networks managing an enormous group of advertisers and affiliates, it can often be tough to keep track of all the activities in the network. To know all of the activities, alert or notification is required. The overwhelming amount of relevant activities in the network come with the alert system that will automatically inform to advertisers and affiliates through the bell notifications as well as an email notifications. Each advertiser and affiliate can view the most current notifications on their panel. Advertisers and affiliates receive notifications for different events in the application, like when an offer reaches the percentage threshold of its daily or monthly cap is near being reached, when excessive clicks happen, when changes are made to an account, or when offers are near expiration. So, there is no doubt that alerts play a crucial function in affiliate marketing. This is really the crux of it.

Classifications of Admin Alert

Affiliate marketing is also known as performance marketing plays an integral role in the success of advertising campaigns for networks and advertisers. Alert is the key item to know all of the activities. Here we discuss only about admin alert. Below are the types of admin events that alert hub will receive after definite actions have taken effect in the network.

Affiliate Sign-Up.

New Offer Is Created.

Offer Reaches The Percentage Threshold Of Its Daily Or Monthly Cap.

Offer Meets Its Daily Or Monthly Cap.

Offer Expiration Warning.

Offer State Changed.

Excessive Clicks.

Excessive Conversions.

Excessive Conversions/Clicks Ratio.

Advertiser Sign-Up

When new advertisers are signing up in the network, then selected recipients will receive a new notification in the bell as well as in an email.

Affiliate Sign-Up

When new affiliates are signing up in the network, at that moment selected recipients will receive a new notification in the bell as well as in an email.

New Offer Is Created

When new offer has been created by admin or advertisers subsequently chosen recipients will receive a new notification in the bell as well as in an email.

For creating above mentioned alerts admin just input alert name, after that on the status, then select the event name( Advertiser Signup, Affiliate Signup or New offer is created) and recipient name( All, Myself, Advertiser, Affiliate) finally just input message.( New Advertiser/Affiliate is signing up or A new offer has been created) and save the alert.

Offer Reaches The Percentage Threshold Of Its Daily Or Monthly Cap

Admin can set an alert for offer reaches the percentage threshold of its daily or monthly cap in the network. It will set the threshold of number of conversions, after a cap is set for the offer. Let’s take an example, suppose an admin wants 10 conversions in a month or daily basis and he sets cap percent 50. It means he allows 5 conversions in a daily or monthly basis. While conversions numbers are being reached at 5 then alert will throw in the bell as well as in an email.

For creating the aforesaid alert admin just input alert name, after that on the status, then select the event name and recipient name and offer name, after that just input Caps percent and finally just input message and save the alert.

Offer Meets Its Daily Or Monthly Cap

Admin can set an alert while offer meets its daily or monthly cap. Suppose an admin wants 10 conversions in a daily or monthly basis. Thus while conversions numbers are being reached at 10 then alert will throw in the bell as well as in an email.

Here the process is nearly same like "offer reaches the percentage threshold of its daily or monthly cap". Only Caps percent option is not required here.

Offer Expiration Warning

When an offer comes close to the expiration date, an alert will appear in the bell or in an email. Admin can set the threshold of day before expiry.

Here the process is nearly same like the above. Only day option is required.

Offer State Changed

When an admin has made a change to their account like active edit, then selected recipients will receive an alert in the bell or in an email.

Excessive Clicks

Admin can set an alert for excessive clicks in a daily or monthly basis. Suppose an admin sets 20 clicks in a daily or monthly basis. While clicks are being reached at 20 then notification will appear in the bell as well as in an email.

For creating the aforesaid alert admin just input alert name, after that on the status, then select the event name, recipient name, offer name and excessive type, after that just input limit and finally just enter message and save the alert.

Excessive Conversions

Admin can set an alert for excessive conversions in a daily or monthly basis. Suppose an admin sets 10 conversions in a daily or monthly basis. While conversions are being reached at 10 then notification will appear in the bell as well as in an email.

The process is just like the above. Only choose excessive conversion in the event instead of excessive clicks.

Excessive Conversions/Clicks Ratio

Admin can also set an alert for excessive conversions/clicks ratio. Let’s assume an admin wants 8 clicks and 4 conversions. Admin has to be mentioned conversions and clicks ratio like this 4/8 in the limit box. In this scenario while any of the conditions either conversions or clicks are being reached then alert will appear in the bell as well as in an email.

The process is just like the previous one. Only choose excessive conversions/clicks ratio in the event instead of excessive conversions.

Excessive Duplicate IP

Admin can set an alert for excessive duplicate IP in a daily or monthly basis. Let’s take an example of it, suppose admin wants 5 impressions, clicks or conversions from the same IP. While numbers are being reached at 5 then alert will appear in the bell as well as in an email.
