While preparing a presentation, it is very important to focus on the text that you are writing in. For the successful presentation, the right matter on right place is very necessary because this is totally responsible for the words that you are saying to the audience. Before preparing a presentation, for any purpose, always try to collect proper information about the topic that you had chosen. The best presentation does not consist so much word, it can only consider the quality words that can help a person to grab the public attention. It can be short and impressive.

After getting the knowledge about the audience and their needs, it is important to know about to structure the text. So, your next thoughts might be: What words come first? How is my audience going to remember what's important? From the research on, how people remember, here are several memory principles to help you along.

First, people remember beginnings and endings. This is why good movies and speeches grab our attention in the first few minutes and end on a memorable note.

Second, people remember things that are connected. So, connect what you say to your audience's experiences. Give relevant examples in that case by telling a story.

Next, people remember the outstanding. For example, many people remember what they were doing when they heard about 911. People will, also remember events like graduations, weddings and birthdays' (especially those with big round numbers!) because they stand out from the routine of day to day living. Your task is to create a host of dramatic instances in your presentation.

Lastly, people remember ideas that are repeated. This is why advertisements repeat actions they want us to take — repeatedly. We too, can repeat to help people buy an idea, or get them to do something important.

Since people remember beginnings, the opening of your presentation must have impact. The first few seconds or minutes are critical so use them well. You will need to grab attention, get people to nod (not shake) their heads, and give them the big picture. Good openings combine various ingredients: a greeting, attention grabber and announcement of your points are usually 'musthaves'. You can also include the topic, situation, challenges and objectives. Keep your opening short and impressive.

You have done what you can to help them remember.

Speaking of final words — make every word count. Too many words cause confusion and irrelevant stories distract. Read your script out loud. Cut, erase, slash. Edit every unnecessary word, story and joke. When you are clear, concise and coherent, your audience can concentrate on what is important. Even if it is a simple presentation, and no or one says it — you are a hero. And it's a good kind of hero to be: the sort that had something invaluable our time.
