EPDM rubber foam is an synthetic rubber that is chemically known as ethylene propylene diene monomer having high density with high durability. EPDM can be finished to an extremely smooth surface. EPDM has great resistance to abrasives, tearing, solvents and high temperatures. It is highly flexible at high as well as in low temperatures. EPDM rubber Foam is one of the most commonly used which is fastest growing synthetic rubbers having both general and specialty applications.

It is primarily used in automotive, construction and mechanical goods applications. Now a days it is is a highly demanded material to all over the world. The greatest test of a construction material is how it responds in actual conditions and due to properties of EPDM its chosen the best of among.

It is a thermoset elastomer which is modified to various processes and having physical properties like crack resistant, compression resistant, heat resistant, weather resistant, flexible, high strength, UV stability even at lower temperature apart from this it can also withstand moisture and steam. EPDM prefers unparalleled versatility and is suitable for number of specific requirements of the industry. EPDM rubber foam is a very light rubber as compared to other categories of Rubber that’s why end product has longer length which increases the scope of its applications.

These days rubber foams have been considered as an economical material because of having number of applications and its advantageous properties, such as light weight, buoyancy, cushioning performance, acoustic insulation, inertness, and good aging. Its properties also make it suitable for requirements including thermal insulation on items such as garage door seals. EPDM rubber foam are used in Environmental protection, simple construction, impervious, leakage, and good sealing effect. It also resists to Corrosion, aging, flowing, distortion, embrittlement.

As the foaming material contains a large number of air or other gases, and is unfavorable and circulation, especially closed-cell foam material, has completely separated by independent bubble hole, material can obviously reduce of heat conduction, has the very end of the coefficient of thermal conductivity, combined with the material itself more flexible and good resilience.
