Formation of plaque and tartar is one of the common problems that come up in oral cavity. The plaque is the residue of food and with the activity of bacteria it creates a thin layer on the surface of the teeth.

It is important to note that stains may come back over time unless the individual has stopped using things that were responsible for stains such as smoking, coffee, cola, and wine and so on.

How it is done

The dentist will use an electric scalar to remove the calculus. The electric equipment contains fine tip that moves very rapidly. It also emits a fast stream of water jet, the water stream and the scalar will remove the calculus and clean it.

With a set of special tools, the dentist will be able to clean the most inner parts and around the teeth.

The next stage is polishing. The dentist will use a brush that rotates, and uses toothpaste to give the teeth a perfect whiteness.
