PMS can be the trouble maker

Yeah, when you are on periods there is a radical shift in hormone balance in the body. This can eventually lead to troubles like hurting breasts. There is a term for this boob pain called the cyclic pain. It results due to the rise in the levels of estrogen just before the periods that leads to tenderness and swelling in boobs. Cyclic pain gets away on its own with the end of the periods. However you can use birth control pills for dealing with the pain. These pills stop ovulation and stabilize the level of estrogen in body.

Intense workouts

Working out to hard be an impressive way to boost body energy levels but it can lead to breast pain. The culprits are the muscles beneath the breast that experience intense stress resulting in pain. This group of muscles is called pectoral muscles specifically. Taking pain killers or using heating pads can relieve the pain.

For women with large breasts ample support during exercises is mandatory. Bouncing breasts pull the tissues that cause pain. Solution is a perfect fit sports bra to take away all the pain.

Bra size is not fit

This is the most common culprit for pain in most women. Choice of a wrong bra can have serious consequences on your chest. Don’t choose too tight or too small cup bra, this can cause sore boobs. At the same time if your chest is not supported enough then hanging lose breast will get tender and pain.

Rule is to choose a bra that is a perfect fit.

Lumpy Breasts

Pay attention if you are being diagnosed with lumpy breasts. If you have lumps on your breasts then you are prone to feel tenderness during periods. This is because these lumps are fibrocystic tissues that have fluid filled cysts. Don’t worry this doesn’t mean you have breast cancer it’s just more sensitivity to hormonal changes.

You are sipping too much caffeine

There is no direction relation established between intake of tea and coffee and breast pain but still some studies say that cutting intake of caffeine helps. Especially in women with fibrocycstic breast tissue cutting intake of caffeine is found to alleviate boobs pain.

Keep in mind general boob tenderness and soreness should not be an issue of concern. Such pain lasts for a few days and vanishes on its own. However as a good health initiative it is always advice to give your breast a regular check for any change in texture, shape or any lump formation. This will help you avoid the danger of breast cancers. Also contact your doctor for regular health checkups.
