The Nigerian superstars P Square have made some great hit songs for which they are known and loved all over the world. The duo is made up of two twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye. About Alingo

Success

Alingo put P Square at the top of the MTV base’s Official Naija top 10 Chart from March 22nd to March 28th 2013. On YouTube, the video got past the 5 million views mark on its release. Alingo’s, music video was nominated for ‘Most Gifted Video of the Year’ at the Channel O Music Video Awards of the year 2013. At the same awards, the video won the most Gifted African (West) Video’. Controversies

Alingo song came with a crazy dance routine that P Square called the Alingo dance. The duo described this as complex and challenging for people to do. This however would not come without criticism. Critics said it was so much similar to the Azonto dance. To add to the controversies, the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation banned the video stating that it had erotic dance moves towards the end of the video. This however would not kill the morale of the duo who responded to the ban by saying that it was actually more promotional than limiting to the success of the video.
