Summers are all about colors and sunshine, and people like to change their closet for the needs of the season. When you are spending on everything else, it makes sense to try a few things for the interiors and exteriors, as well. While not everyone can invest custom residential architecture and interior concepts, it is pretty easy to do attempt smaller changes. In this very special post, we will talk of some of the fun ways to revamp homes for the summer.

Start with furnishings

Furnishing and upholstery can transform and create new look for any home in a jiffy and can be counted among the most simple and affordable options. Summer colors for furnishings should be a mix of many elements and shades. Typically, you can play around the color family of orange, yellow, blue, green and yellow, depending on the kind of theme you would like to create. Try to stick to a more balanced look with one or two colors, so that there are no ‘overdo’ mistakes at all. If you are looking for safe options, the best idea is to match your curtains and cushion covers in a simple way, without touching many elements. Green works

Who doesn’t love to have a few indoor plants? However, for the summer, you would more plants than any other season. Look for smaller plant varieties that can fit all the corners of your living and bed room, and you can even choose flowering plants in pots. Greener elements can liven up any room without much trying, and you don’t even need to worry about designing mistakes. Smaller plants can be used for tables, as well.

Work towards lighting

Our body responds positively towards light, and you can find a lot of affordable lighting options for summer weeks. Try to use sheer materials for the curtains, and if you have the choice, you can double up the number of curtains for every window to add more style and limit the amount of sunshine coming in. As for artificial lighting, go for warm tones, which tend to look amazing, especially when you opt for yellow warm lights.

The wall factor

For those who are keen on investing in a more elaborate way, the next best option is to go for wallpapers and decals. Wallpapers are undoubtedly expensive investments, especially when you go for high end textured designs, but for decals, you can find plenty of choices in dirt cheap prices. For accenting a room, you don’t need to add wallpapers for every wall, instead to create an accented wall, which can work as the highlight. Bright colors are always your best bet, but if you are not fond of yellow or green, even blue should a great summery color worth trying.

Of course, nothing beats the efficiency of experienced interiors, so make sure that you check with a few custom designers for some ideas. Many companies can tweak their budget for your needs, which can be a great advantage for specific design requirements.
