Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) - A Premier Engineering College

Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology(NSIT) or formerly Delhi Institute of Technology(DIT) is one of the top engineering colleges in India. Established in 1983, the campus is situated at Azad Hind Fauj Marg, Sector -3 Dwarka which is approximately 17 Km from Indira Gandhi International Airport whereas the nearest railway station is Nizamuddin Railway station. It has a beautifully landscaped and fully residential campus sprawling 145 acres of land. A wide range of facilities including staff residences, hostels, cooperative mess, sports complex, banks, post office, shopping complex are available.
Nsit has consistently produced some of the bright minds in the country. A highly competitive JEE exam ensures that it gets the cream of the lot. Those who wish to get themselves enrolled in this premier institute need to qualify JEE Mains, where weightage to this examination is 60% and to XII Board Examination is 40%. Admissions are on the basis of rank in JEE. The cut off for reserved categories, the number of seats in each department and the fees for each category can be found out from their main website.
The admission process is a rigorous one and is done by common counselling which also includes colleges like IIIT-D, DTU and IGDTUW. The admission is carried out in two steps. First, the candidate has to submit a counselling participation fee of Rs 1100 and in the second step the candidate is required to fill in the branches. After the allocation of seat through common counselling, the applicants are required to submit the fee and report to the college to get their documents verified and confirmation of their admission, failing which the allocated seat will be cancelled and the candidate will not be considered for further round of online counselling. The counselling is done in various rounds. It is important to note that no admission under any circumstances will be given after the admission procedure is over.

Undergraduate - Computer engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information and Technology, Instrumentation and Control, Manufacturing Process and Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Biotechnology.
Postgraduate - Electronics and Communication Engineering (Signal processing), Computer Engineering(Information System), Instrumentation and Control Engineering(Process Control)
The list of prominent recruiters include - Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Adobe, Qualcomm, NVidia, Flipkart, Amazon, McKinsey, Ernst & Young. The average package of a student placed within the campus is 7.75 Lakhs p.a. whereas the highest package is 1.25 crore p.a. which was offered to 8 students from Google Mountain View.
The college also has cultural and non-academic activities. The annual cultural festival - MOKSHA is usually held in the month of March, is hosted by the students and is one of the largest of it’s kind in Delhi NCR. It is well known for holding the best cultural competitions, games and musical concerts. Cultural activities like Dramatics, Speaking, Literary Arts, Music and Fine Arts etc also mark an important feature in the life of an NSITian. It is well known in the quizzing fraternity of our country and performed fabulously at the national level.
An amalgamation of it’s efforts to maintain this benchmark recently helped NSIT to bag 6th rank in the latest DataQuest-CMR T-School survey 2015. Also India Today Ranked NSIT 9th, whereas Outlook India gave it 12th rank. The notable alumni of this institution include Rajat Bansal (CTO of Hike), Naveen Kasturia (FIlm Actor and Assistant Director), Ira Singhal (Rank 1 holder of UPSC Civil service exam 2014, Navneet Dalal (CEO of Flutter app).
