Need to Attempt WBJEE 2017 Entrance Test, Know The Exam Pattern

For under graduate engineering courses and medical programmes the most trusted entrance examination would be WBJEE which stands for WBJEE West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. Like every year, this year too many aspirants enthusiastically fill the application form to try their luck, of course hard work is the key to success, but competitive examinations are sometimes based on sheer luck as well. Exam conducting authorities have chosen the month of May as valid month for the exam commencement. There are so many factors that are closely connected to this reputed entrance test like process for applying, process to submit application, modes to receive fee payment, cost of the application form, counseling info and various others. But above all is the exam pattern which every candidate is curious to know.

Examination Pattern:

The question paper obviously comes from the syllabus (WBJEE 2017 Application Form) that conducting authorities have selected.

  • Question paper is based on Objective Type Questions pattern. It implies that for correct question, there will be four options provided and candidates need to tick the correct one from the available options.
  • Every candidate will be given an OMR sheet. This sheet needs to be marked bubbled by utilizing only blue or black point pen. This has to be strictly followed because if candidates use some other material like pencil or some other colored pens then it will be considered invalid.

Description of question paper is important here:

  • In Biology, 80 questions for 1 mark each in Category one, 25 questions for 2 marks each in Category two, 10 questions for 2 marks each in Category three. Overall, there will be 115 questions for 150 marks.
  • In Physics, 30 questions for 1 mark each in Category one, 5 questions for 2 marks each in Category two, 5 questions for 2 marks each in Category three. Overall candidates need to go through 40 questions for 50 marks.
  • In Chemistry, 30 questions for 1 mark each in Category one, 5 questions for 2 marks each in Category two, 5 questions for 2 marks each in Category three. Overall candidates need to go through 40 questions for 50 marks.
  • In Mathematics, 50 questions for 1 mark each in Category one, 15 questions for 2 marks each in Category two, and 10 questions for 2 marks each in category three. In total, candidates need to attempt 75 questions for 100 marks.
Through the above mentioned exam pattern, candidates will be able to make out that how they need to prepare and in which direction they are required to make efforts.
