Gustavo Gutierrez CRNA - Military Service and History

Gustavo Gutierrez is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who served in the military for ten years working in medical trauma. Having left the Army in September of 2000, he now holds a position as the Director of Anesthesia at a multi-specialty surgery center in Anaheim Hills, California.

Entering the military after graduating from high school at the young age of 17 may seem to be a difficult decision for some but came naturally for Gustavo Gutierrez CRNA, as he has a desire to serve his community and country with his talent and abilities. Gutierrez is one of many brave veterans who made the choice to put their skills to use by serving in the military.

Although the origin of the United States military can be traced back to the Revolutionary War, it was not officially adopted into existence until September 29, 1789. As the largest employer in the world, the military can boast building a foundation for the careers of some of the most influential people throughout history. This list includes, but is certainly not limited to, 31 of the 43 United States Presidents who have served the country in some capacity. Many of these prestigious careers began in the military rather than politics and can speak volumes to the type nature of the men the military attracts and the values the military instills in its servicemen and women.

With defense spending in the United States totaling more than the nine highest military spending countries combined, the United States armed forces turn out the best in their chosen branch of service and career.

For anyone who chooses a life in the military at a young age such as Gutierrez, obtaining an education with the help of the armed forces can be an excellent decision through each stage of a career. Gustavo Gutierrez was able to learn much of what led to his career as a CRNA due to his countless hours of medical training in the Army. This education followed by the degrees received at the University of Southern California added to an impressive resume for him coupled with his decade of service. The military has much to offer those who choose to dedicate their lives to their country and serves as a source of rich history and pride for the United States and its people.
