Contamination Control Mats: A Cleaner Way of Functioning
Posted: Jun 21, 2016
New Delhi, India – June 17, 2016 – The contamination control mats, sticky mats or tacky mats – as they are called – are a convenient and effective way of dirt removal. There are a number of regions like food services, electronics and medical areas where presence of dust can interfere with the operation mechanism. Thus, it is necessary to avoid dust particles from entering the environment as much as possible. In such areas, using contamination control mats is a smart decision. These mats are specifically designed to capture the dust particles from equipment wheels and foot traffic which are the major source of dust and impurities.
These mats are manufactured and designed according to a strictly defined quality management standard. Every layer of a sticky mat is made up of low-density and high quality polyethylene materials and contains moistening adhesives. There is an antimicrobial preservative layer on top of the mats which prevents bacterial growth. They are meticulously designed having a uniform and consistent adhesive coating on top layer which sticks the dust particles and prevents them from getting into the critical environment. They are installed at cleanrooms, entrances and other controlled environments. Placing these mats at entryways and traffic areas decreases the extent of contamination significantly, providing a cleaner working space. This increasingly helps in reducing cleaning and maintenance costs and extends the life of floor finishes installed. These contamination control mats consist of 30 to 60 layers and can be used either with a frame or alone, depending upon the requirements of repositioning while cleaning, as well as the floor surface of area.
They have an easy installation system that requires only the removal of protective film on the top and bottom of mat and placing it at the required spot. To remove the film properly, there is usually a label on the corner of mats. As equipment wheels and footwear pass over the surface, the pressure sensitive non-transferring adhesive captures the dirt and contains it till the time layer is disposed off. The next layer underneath can be exposed in case the current layer of the mat becomes ineffective. Apart from this, the mats are also individually numbered so that user can know how many layers are remaining and use accordingly. These contamination control mats are manufactured taking high quality standards in consideration and ensuring that the layers don’t get shred while removing and that every layer has uniform and optimum adhesion.
There are number of stores which offer contamination control mats in India. They are available in a variety of colours and sizes and have different number of layers so that customers can choose the product which suits their requirements in the best way. In spite of the availability of a lot other dust removal methods, contamination control mats or sticky mats are the first choice because without consuming any time or causing any difficulty, they prevent contamination in a simple and trouble-free way.
