Kalasalingam University: Campus and Exams

Kalasalingam University is situated in Tamil Nadu, India. It is considered as one of the best colleges in India. The university was established in the year 1984. The campus is very close to the ancient temple of Srivilliputhur. It is approved by the University Grants Commission and is accredited by the National Assessment and accreditation Council.

The university offers many courses in the field of engineering and technology, along with the business administration, MCA, and Msc. Almost all the branches of engineering are offered to the students in their B. Tech and M. Tech programs. There are 13 undergraduate courses and 25 post graduate courses offered by the university. The university provides all the relevant educational facilities to the students to enable them to grasp much of the education provided. The university also provides B. Tech programs for people with speech and hearing impairment. Further, the university has collaborations with the foreign universities and holds many exchange programs and guest lecturers.

The Campus of Kalasalingam University is located at the foothills of the western Ghats in rural setting of Virudhunagar District. The campus has a central library and many departmental libraries, with an extensive collection of volumes and titles. The library also has adequate digital resources. The college promotes sports activities and provides facilities to promote it among the students. There is an athletic track, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a football ground. The campus has a high speed wi-fi connection and the central server farm includes file servers, a database server, a mail server, a web server, a backup server, a proxy server, and an e- learning server.

The University holds exams semester wise for students of all the courses and years. Each year is divided into two semesters named as even and odd. Each semester has three internal exam and one final exam for all theory subjects. The laboratory subjects, however, has two internal exams followed by the final exams. The university follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and the question paper is set by the Anna University.
