Tackling IBPS online bank exam

The online exam has its own advantages over traditional pen and paper method. However, to give the IBPS exam well, aspirants need to be well-versed with the format. Here are some of the ways in which aspirants can do their IBPS Preparation:

  1. Get familiar with computer basics: If you are new to computers, then attempting IBPS online bank exam may appear difficult. Hence, you need to get familiar with computer basics. After this you will realise that online exams are very easy to attempt as navigation from one question to another is faster & easier than the offline mode. Here, aspirants can jump from one section to the other with just a click of the mouse. Aspirants can also add/remove questions to/from review list. There are all the statistics available all the time i.e., no of questions attempted, added to review list etc. There is also an option to change the answer with the online version.

  2. Attempt online mock tests: There are many coaching institutes and websites that have online test series. You need to attempt them to become more familiar with the online test format. In the process, you can even learn to manage time better and increase the speed of answering the questions.

  3. Practice is the key: In order to prepare well for the online bank exam, you need to practice a lot as practice makes one perfect. For all the subjects, you need to practice as many different problems and questions as possible.

  4. Manage time well: Bank exams are all about managing the time. So, aspirants need to practice not just for solving the problems but to be able to attempt the paper in a time-efficient manner. Solving previous year’s questions can also help.

  5. Focus on weak areas: Some people have a flair for certain subjects. So they tend to do better in those areas. However, this is not sufficient as other areas are equally important, if not more. So identify the weak areas and allocate some extra time to study and practice it more often. This will help you to overcome the fear of certain sections of the exam.
