Laser cut or laser cutting is a unique process for making precise cut marks on any material, especially tin wood, metals and many more. As the name suggests, Laser cutting makes use of laser rays where the term LASER stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The ray is emitted from a device is capable of generating sharp, concentrated monochromatic and coherent rays of light. These rays of light have a piercing power, and they can make holes as well as cut the metallic sheets. Furthermore, the rays are also capable of laser ablations, laser puncture, laser etches, drilling, and welding.

Quite understandably, both the varieties of lasers can be differentiated by their capacities to cut and bore. These two lasers include the YAG laser and the CO2 laser. The YAG laser is more powerful than CO2 laser, and it is mainly used to get a high power of boring and engraving on any surfaces, preferably metal sheets. These are also ideal for engraving on hard ceramic surfaces as well. On the other hand, CO2 laser is effective for boring, cutting, and engraving on titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, wax, plastic, and also on mild steel. The CO2 laser is available in four different variants namely, Transverse Flow, Slow Axial Flow, Fast Axial Flow, and Slab. The Axial Flow lasers work with a mixture of nitrogen, helium, and Carbon Dioxide. The flow is regulated with a turbine that controls the speed of the flow in the end.

As far as the advantages of laser lite led and laser cut, these have some clear advantages over the mechanical cutting. The most noticeable advantage is the piercing capacity of the laser rays. The laser cut is safer as it does not make the material wrap or get contaminated. In terms of effectiveness of the cuts, the laser cut is more effective as it can be carried out in a wide variety of materials as mentioned above.
