1. Passionate

Passion directly reflects in a person’s eyes. You cannot miss this while selecting your employee. Passion to work and to make a difference would only prove to be beneficial since dedication always follows passion. Passion driven employees showcase the right attitude and share the vision with the entire team.

2. Responsible

The employee must be ready to take up responsibility for his work and strive to get work done without constant oversight. In a start-up, it is important that the employee has an understanding of the company’s vision and takes responsibility to reach the end goal. His past employment roles would help you judge his calibre. Providing guidance and direction to the employee from time to time is important too.

3. Desire to strive

An employee who thrives in a tough environment will be an achiever. Such employees show interest in various aspects of the business and readily deal with unexpected situations. These are the people who would not procrastinate and also accept criticism and their mistakes positively in order to improve and become better.
