SNAP: Registration Process

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) is conducted by symbiosis International University to select students for their MBA programs. Symbiosis is one of the good B- schools in the country and every year, lakhs of students take the test in order to score a seat in the school.

SNAP registrations are expected to begin in August. The exact dates regarding the registration and exam will be announced by Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune shortly. The exam is proposed to be held in the third week of December, 2016.

Inorder to apply for Snap 2016, Candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or institute. The test will be a pen and paper based, multiple choice test. The time duration of the test is 2 hours. The test comprises of four sections- General English, Quantitative Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, General Awareness, and Analytical and Logical Reasoning. The total marks of the test is 180. There is no sectional barrier and candidates can solve any section in any order. Also, they can easily scroll through the sections. There will be total 150 questions based on these four sections.Also, there is a negative marking of 25% for every incorrect answer, however, no marks is deducted for unattempted questions. There are sectional cutoffs along with an overall cutoff percentile, that is released by all the 14 symbiosis institutes. The test will be conducted across 30 test centers.

Earlier there were speculations regarding the pattern of the exam. But, It is very much expected that the test pattern will remain same as that of the previous year. Last year, when almost all the exams started their online examination mode, SNAP still continued to be pen and paper based exam. This year aswell, the exam is expected to continue its pen and paper based mode. According to the exam committee of SNAP, students tend to make a lot of mistakes in the computerized format, especially in the data interpretation questions and questions which includes graphical formats.

The eligible candidates are required to apply through the official website. One has to create a SNAP id, inorder to complete the registration process.
