Horse Race Australia has been created for those persons who have a passion for the Australian Horse Racing, by providing the information on the tracks and feature races in Australia, as well as the trainers and jockeys. Generally, the Australian Horse Racing takes place on a weekly basis with meetings conducted daily by the Metropolitan, Provincial and Country Race Clubs. The horse racing season begins each year on August 1st and the end of the racing season concludes on July 30th. Generally, Saturday is considered the main day for the racing in the Australia with meetings held in both the city and country areas of each State almost every weekend. These city meetings are regularly held on Public Holidays throughout the year and Metropolitan Race Clubs can hold meetings on any given day of the week and the midweek racing generally organize in the multiple Metropolitan meetings on a Wednesday in each State, while country clubs race regularly on any given days.

Horse Racing Carnivals are run in each state of Australia throughout the year, with the biggest being the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival in the Melbourne, Victoria, where the Melbourne Cup is the showpiece, followed by the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate. New South Wales hosts the big Sydney autumn racing carnival where the highlight is the two days 'The Championships', featuring the $4,000,000 ATC Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The Melbourne and the Sydney are the heart of horse racing in the Australia for big money, with the 3 premier annual events being the Caulfield Cup, the Cox Plate and the biggest one of them all, the Melbourne Cup. This Cup is held annually on the first Tuesday in the month of November at the Flemington Racetrack. The Melbourne has three other major metropolitan venues, i.e. Caulfield, Moonee Valley and Sandown. Whilst in the Sydney, Randwick and Rosehill are the premier tracks, with Canterbury and Warwick Farm also hosting numerous group races throughout the year. The widely recognized as the second tier of Australian Horse Racing, are as Brisbane's 2 longstanding premier racing venues, Eagle Farm (QTC) and Doomben (BTC). These 2 tracks along with South Australia's Morphettville Racetrack, and the Western Australia's Perth Ascot Racecourse, are the only other venues to hold the group one races in the Australia. These tracks may not offer as much prize money as some of their richer cousins, but they are the biggest race courses in their respective states, each boasting multiple Group races annually.
