MDI Gurgaon - An Eminent B-school

MDI or Management Development Institute, one of the premier business schools in gurgaon was established in the year 1973. It is located in Gurgaon, which comes under the national capital region (NCR). MDI has been accredited by AMBA (Association of MBAs), firstly in 2005 and was recently reaccredited in 2011. It has 40 acres of lush green campus. Moreover, MDI boasts of air-conditioned class rooms, library and computer centre, fully furnished residences for participants, executive suites, facilities and recreation areas like golf course and floodlit badminton, tennis and basketball courts. The college boasts of a 22:1 faculty ratio and has 76 full time faculty.

There are a total of seven post graduate programmes in management available. They are Post graduate programme in Management, PGP in Human resource management, PGP in International management, Executive fellow programme in management, Fellow programme in management, PGP in public policy and management, PGP in energy management. The common eligibility for all seven involves at least 50% in 10th and 12th. MDI Gurgaon also offers various specialised programmes for practising managers and management faculty. These include short duration residential Management Development Programmes (MDP), In-Company Sponsored Programmes, Advanced Management Programmes (AMP), Quality Improvement Programmes (QIP), which is designed to fill knowledge and skill gaps in different functional areas.

Other than studies, it also holds it’s annual events. Imperium is MDI’s flagship annual inter B-school management and cultural fest, where the finest students from the best business schools in India and abroad battle it out for supremacy in intellect and creativity. Illumina is the annual disguised market research event at MDI and ADVENT is MDI's advertising and marketing summit. Other than these, the college also has various clubs, societies and interest groups.

Management Development Institute continues to be one of the top Indian B-Schools for companies to recruit. Over the years, the institute has consistently maintained a hundred percent recruitment record. The average package for the batch of 2014-16 has been recorded has 16.60 lakhs and the highest has been 32.1 lakhs. Some of the prevalent recruiters coming to the college are Accenture, E&Y, Airtel, Paytm, Boston Consulting group, JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Google, Shopclues among many others.

MDI also has a very excellent alumni - Durjoy Datta, Niketan Madhok, Saurabh Ray and many other CEO and MDs of various companies.
