Company History

The Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited or FACT Ltd is a fertilizer and chemical manufacturing company located in Kochi, Kerala, India. It was incorporated in the year 1943 by Maharajah Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma. In the year 1947 FACT started production of ammonium sulphate with a yearly installed capacity of 50,000 MT at Udyogamandal near Cochin.

FACT Share Price is trading very close to its 52 week high which is Rs 28.70. This 52 week high was made on 30th June 2016. The 52 week low of Rs 15.75 was made on 25th August 2015.

About FACT:

FACT is a Government of India Enterprise and its main focus is on manufacturing and marketing of fertilizers, caprolactam, engineering consultancy as well as fabrication of equipments. Beside the manufacturing units, Fact has a consultancy division known as FACT Engineering and Design organisation (FEDO).

Manufacturing Units:

The company has 2 manufacturing units - Udyogamandal Complex (UC) at Eloor, Udyogamandal, and Cochin Division (CD) at Ambalamedu. The Caprolactam plant in Udyogamandal was initialized in 1990.

Apprenticeship Training – Fact's Apprenticeship Training centre is approved under Board of Apprenticeship Training / Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai and it is also an approved Institution to conduct the "Statutory Training" for the Supervisors of Manor Accident Hazard Industries as envisaged under section 41 C(V) of the Factories Act 1948.

Accademic Programmes - Technical & Non-Technical - FACT Training Centre facilitates Organization Study & In-plant Training for students from various streams such as Engineering / BBA / MBA in the Production / Maintenance & Administration department of the Company in various Divisions.

Services for Farmers:

With the aim of improving the agricultural condition of the Nation Fact has taken up various initiatives like - The Fertilizer Festival, The Village Adoption Scheme, FACT Agriculture Study Centre, FACT Agro Service Centre, FACT Marketing Centre, FACT Marketing Centre, FACT Mixing Centre, Mobile Based Fertilizer Management Centre (mFMS).

FACT Share Price has traded between Rs 24 and Rs 28 approximately in the last five trading sessions. The average traded volume for the last 20 day (as of 5th July 2016) is 126068. FACT Share Price has recorded a lifetime high of Rs 73.30 on 20th January 2010 and a lifetime low of Rs 0.40 on 10th August 1998.

It will be interesting to see if the share price breaks its 52 week high and goes further up.
