HDIL Share Price has been Range Bound

Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL), is one of the real estate development companies of the Country which was established in 1996. As of 22nd July 2016 HDIL share price made 52 weeks high of Rs 108.70 on 12th July 2016.

The business portfolio of the Company ranges from construction and development of residential projects, commercial, retail and slum rehabilitation projects. It also works in construction of special economic zone.

HDIL was rewarded to rehabilitate approximately 85,000 slum dwellers under enlargement & modernization of Mumbai airport from MIAL (Mumbai International Airport). HDIL was also awarded with the Dharavi Slum Rehabilitation projects after technical evaluations in September 2007. The project is expected to generate a revenue of somewhere around Rs 25,000 crore for the Maharashtra government.

HDIL has been working on real estate development in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region so far but as part of their growth strategy they are considering projects in other locations, including Kochi and Hyderabad. They also are planning expanding into hotel projects, special economic zone (SEZ) developments as well as "mega-structure" complexes, which are large-scale mixed-use retail, commercial and residential developments.

The Company gets a turnover from sales of projects, developed land as well as land development rights for the financial years ended 31 March 2008, 2007, 2006 were Rs. 2380 crores, Rs. 1204 crores, Rs. 434 crores respectively.

The residential projects of the Company generally comprise groups of apartments, towers and larger multi-purpose "township" projects in which individual housing units are sold separately to the customers. The commercial projects are a mix of office space along with multiplex cinemas. The retail projects focus on the construction of shopping malls. They usually follow a "build and sell" model for the properties they develop.

In the last one month HDIL share price has been trading in a range of 95 to 109. The share price closed on the greener side of the market on 22nd July 2016. On 25th July 2016 the share opened at Rs 101.00 from the previous closing of Rs 100.95.

Financial of HDIL

Revenue: For the quarter ended 31st March 2016 HDIL’s revenue was reported as Rs 342.31 crore showing a growth of around Rs 20 crore as compared to the quarter ended December 2015. Also Q4 FY16 recorded more than double revenue as compared to Q4 FY15.

PBDT: The PBDT for the Q4 FY16 was Rs 69.13 crore. For Q3 FY16 the same was Rs 84.32 crore.

PBT: PBT for the quarter ended 31st March 2016 was Rs 67.86 crore.

Net Profit: Net Profit for Q4 FY16 was Rs 55.39 crore as showing a drop as compared to quarter ended December 2015 where the same was Rs 92.90 crore.

EPS: The Earning per Share for the FY16 Q4 was Rs 1.32.
