CFA Crash Course / Revision Sessions

Posted: Aug 03, 2016
Many students have shown interest in the CFA® Crash Courses or Revision Sessions as some people call it. Here is what a student can expect from these courses. (For me Revision Sessions are synonymous for Crash Course)
What is a CFA® Crash Course?
According to lot of dictionaries "Crash Course simply means rapid and intense course of training……generally taken in an emergency." So, that’s exactly what a CFA® Crash Course is supposed to do! It is supposed to help candidates prepare for the exam in a short span of time. CFA® curriculum is really vast and it’s quite a task to be able to touch upon all the important topics in a limited frame of time. This would require rigorous training of around 8-9 hours a day for at least 4-5 days.
There are many institutes (like Its CONCEPTSTM) that provide CFA® Crash Courses and each will have its own way of doing this. The institutes providing such crash courses should have an eye for detail and structure the crash course in a way that a holistic view is provided to the candidates.
To summarize, here is what a student can expect from a CFA® Crash Course:
Rigorous training of approximately 8-9 hours a day for 5 days (these are just average figures)
Focussing on all important topics for the exam. This really requires a masterwork as this is the only reason students are joining a crash course!
Last minute preparation tips provided like how to make a strategy to crack the CFA® Exam
Crash Course Material helping students revise all important things that supplements CFA® Exam revisions
Some mock tests to help you give some good practice (some institutes club mock tests with crash courses and some might not)
Doubt clearing sessions
