Development of Research Sector in Informational Technology

Research and development has always been an area which India has made remarkable progress despite some of our shortcomings in other areas. The recent string of Satellite launches by ISRO has put India as a major player in the global space race. We have been traditionally strong Mathematicians since our heydays as a one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Despite our resilient nature we have fallen behind as compared to other countries when it comes to Scientific Research.

Part of the Reason for our decline is the problem of illiteracy, but a major factor has been the fact that our research structure has become out-dated except for a few organizations like ISRO who have kept pace with the global players. Another major factor among Indians is Research isn’t as profitable as compared to some of the other options in India, and the few that are interested in Research find other countries more feasible to pursue their endeavours because of proper infrastructure and a proper functioning system that facilitates Research.

Despite all these detriments the youth of current India have definitely become more aware about their options due to the advent of the Internet. The Internet has facilitated the exchange of Ideas and made Information more accessible to the common man. When it comes to the field of Research and development the Internet has become a medium for sharing and promotion of Research. That is why more and more young Indians have started the pursuit of Higher studies particularly the research sector has seen an influx of fresh young talent. With the vast amount of young brilliant minds we have at our disposal we have an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap and achieve huge breakthroughs in all the major scientific fields.

What these young minds need is a medium to gain knowledge pertaining to their fields of Research and also aggregate their work.
