SNAP 2016 Exam Pattern Details

SNAP is conducted by symbiosis International University. There are 14 institutes under symbiosis International University, all of which accept the score of SNAP inorder to select students for their MBA Programs. Each institute has a further evaluation process which consists of the Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview. All of these processes are conducted by each of the institutes separately.

This year SNAP 2016 will be conducted on 18th December, 2016. The registrations for the same will begin from 22nd August, 2016 onwards. Aspirants need to apply online by logging on to the official website of SNAP. Once the application form has been correctly filled by the candidate, and the scanned copy of the required documents has been uploaded, the payment for the registration fees has to be made in order to complete the registration process. Candidates can pay the registration fees via online payment, or through cash. The payment is non refundable and is important inorder to complete the process.

SNAP is a pen paper based test and no changes in the SNAP 2016 exam pattern is expected. There will be four sections namely the General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and General Knowledge. The time duration of the test is 2hours that is 120 minutes. There is no sectional barricade, hence, one can easily scroll through the sections and begin with whichever section they want to. The mode of the exam is offline, that is computer based. Where all other exams have shifted to an online mode, SNAP continue to remain a pen paper mode exam. The authorities say that the pen paper mode is more reliable. The figures of the Data Interpretation questions are not properly visible and hence the interpretation made is not valid. Therefore, the exam continues to remain an offline paper.

Once the results are out, each institute under Symbiosis International University release their own cutoffs. Based on these cutoffs, the candidates are shortlisted for the evaluation process which comprises of the Group Exercise, Written Ability Test and the personal interview. If a candidate has qualified the cutoffs, the admission is not guaranteed. The final selection is based on the combined scores of the SNAP, which is scaled out of 50, along with the scores of GD, WAT, and PI. The final list of candidates selected are released when the GD/ PI sessions are over.
