Most of the alcohol effects on kidney are caused due to increased level of toxins present in the alcohol you drink. When kidney receives more than regular amount of toxin, it works harder to get rid of them thus resulting in quick damage to the organs.

Do you know that more than two drinks in a day can cause damage to your kidneys? Experts suggest that drinking 5 ounces of beer and only 1.5 ounces of hard liquor is recommended for a day. Drinking more than this leads to multiple physical problems that can confuse your system so much to cause imbalance in the regular working process of your body organs. Especially kidneys get highly affected by alcohol and they are too quick in receiving the damage when compared to other organs. How alcohol affects Kidneys

When you consume too much of alcohol, it is your liver that gets affected first. As soon as the alcohol and the toxin from the alcohol reach liver which secretes a unique juice to filter the toxins, the liver damage starts. With increased amount of toxin presence liver does not does its basic duty of blood purification. The impure blood along with alcohol poison then reaches kidneys and thus starts its damage to the kidneys. Alcohol also increases blood pressure in body thus more amount of blood reaches kidney than normal. This increased blood flow confuses your kidney so much that it again fails to filter the toxins from it leading to kidney damages.

The alcohol effects on kidney leads to many other chain reactions such as renal issues, bladder problems, infertility, kidney stones and also it causes sudden death due to alcohol poisoning. Another notable alcohol effects on kidney includes dehydration. When a person consumes more than the suggested amount of alcohol, the body dehydrates faster because alcohol is a spirit and not water. When body dehydrates, the cells and organs in the body stop functioning normally leading to multiple organ dysfunction or failure. Kidneys also lose their hydration level thus they stop quick blood purification process leading to increased toxin levels in body. Kidney failure, kidney stones and renal dysfunctions are the three prominent physical problem people suffer with if they continue to drink alcohol regularly.

Some people have the habit of drinking raw spirit without diluting it with water. This is a dangerous habit because alcohol effects on kidney when the spirit is consumed raw are much higher than usual. Drinking raw alcohol can lead to sudden choking and death as well.

Doctors suggest that 12 ounces of wine, five ounces of beer and 1.5 ounces of hard liquor is what is the recommended amount of alcohol consumption in a day. If you think you cannot get rid of this habit, then seek the help of herbal anti-alcoholism medicines to get back to a healthy life.
