Things can get really messy when you are about to get divorced, ask me I have been through hell and back when I was going through my divorce, and boy it cost me an arm and a leg during the entire process. Add to that the intense emotional turmoil you go through, and the constant buzzing in your head when you are thinking if you are making the right decision or not, and more often than not this turns out to be a complete disaster.

Trust me it can be a real emotional roller coaster, and I have advised a ton of other individuals about how to go about doing things when getting a divorce, cause hey experience teaches all of us a thing or to now doesn’t it? Well to start of you need to keep things extremely civil, especially if there are kids involved. You don’t want an innocent bystander to get caught in that proverbial crossfire. Because the fallout from them can be absolutely brutal, and there can be a lot of mudslinging from both sides of the table. What you can do is be straight and upfront, and tell the other party exactly what you hope to achieve from this split, emphasize on the fact that it is not working anymore, and this is necessary to grow as individuals. Unfortunately the following scenario occurs only in fairy tales and hence you should be prepared in case you have to go to court with this matter (and usually will have to). In this case be prepared to pay a lot of money, and by a lot of money I mean that you will need a fortune to fight the upcoming court battle. It will not only be a strain on your time, and money but it will also drain you emotionally as well, that is unless and until you get an attorney like my friend Paul.
