NMAT Registrations Commence, Few Changes Introduced

The registrations for NMAT - Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test had started from 4th July and will go on till 3rd October, 2016. NMAT facilitates admissions to Management programs offered by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and other reputed B-schools.

Aspirants looking forward to appear for the exam must be aware about the registration window and other important dates:

Registration Process: 4th July, 2016 to 3rd October, 2016

Scheduling of the exam: 4th July, 2016 to 14th October, 2016

Late Registration: 4th October, 2016 to 12th October, 2016

Rescheduling: 4th July, 2016 to 17th December, 2016

Exam Date: 7th October, 2016 to 20th December, 2016

Retake Scheduling: 8th October, 2016 to 17th December, 2016

Declaration of Result: 17th January, 2017

Aspirants must also be aware about the benefits of appearing for Nmat exam vis-à-vis other management entrance exams. These benefits are:

Wide Testing Window: A long 75-day testing window permits candidates to opt for test date as per their convenience.

Attempting Sections in suitable order: Unlike other exams candidates can attempt NMAT 2016 in the preferred order of sections.

Negative Marking is not applicable: Instead of skipping questions due to fear of a penalty, candidates can now make an informed guess while solving problems.

Re-taking the Exam: Candidates can appear for NMAT up to three times in the window of 75 days. This gives them confidence to give their best shot.

Registration on Mobile: Candidates can now register for the test at any given time from any location from their mobile devices.

More than 30 testing locations: Aspirants can opt to appear for the exam at any of 32 testing centers located in 23 cities.

This time a couple of changes have been introduced that aspirants are finding pretty helpful and assistive; these are:

  • To brush up skills and raise the preparation level, candidates can now attempt a free online practice test of 120 exam questions that is available on the official website.
  • 4 new test centers have been added to the list of testing centers - Pune, Vadodara, Gurgaon and Jamshedpur.

With knowing the benefits of appearing for NMAT and also the changes introduced, aspirants must chalk out a strategic preparation plan to ace the exam.
