With over 7 billion people on this planet and 6500 languages that are officially recognized, knowing a second language is essential today. Learning a new language means giving yourself a competitive edge over others in the job market, making you more employable. But let’s forget about borders disappearing and the world becoming smaller through globalization with the advent of the Internet.
