An electric moped is an excellent option for families that would like to contribute in taking care of the environment. It is designed for short to mid-distance commuting and travelling, ensuring that you still have enough power to go back home. An electric moped is an efficient vehicle for doing quick errands. An electric moped can be a smaller and more reasonable investment for your daily commuting needs whether you need it to go to work or to school. With your own mode of transportation, you can avoid paying for fuel, and you can easily avoid traffic, so you have more savings and more time to provide for your family and yourself.

The smaller and compact footprint of an electric moped makes it easier to manoeuvre in congested and crowded areas. It lets you pass through London city centre without worrying about congestion tax, too. Using an electric moped—even just once or twice a week to go to work or school—can already make a huge difference in your life. You will quickly notice that you are saving so much time because you don’t have to sit in traffic and that you are saving a lot of money because you’re paying less for fuel and transportation.

While there is no absolute way to reverse global warming and ozone depletion, you can still contribute to slowing or reducing their effects by switching to greener habits such as lessening your carbon footprint. In fact, lessening your contribution to air pollution is a good way to help save the environment. A typical car can emit around 20 pounds of carbon dioxide for every gallon of gas it consumes. If you multiply that by the number of kilometres you spend driving every day, you will see how big you’re CO2 emissions are, as well as the amount of fuel you spend each month. You can reduce your carbon emissions with an electric moped. And because it does not run on fuel, it is virtually maintenance free.

In the UK, you do not have to get a license to be able to ride an electric moped. As long as you are 14 years old or older, you can ride your moped in Great Britain without a license, as long as the bike meets EAPC's requirements. Likewise, you do not have to register your moped, insure it, or pay taxes for it. Even young adults and teenagers can drive an electric moped to go to school or to their part-time jobs.
