Trippy Tapestries - Decorating Your Home.
Posted: Sep 13, 2016
In a world saturated with bohemian mandala tapestries, it's nice to shake it up a bit with something a little bit different. For those looking to spice up their room a little, it's difficult to beat a trippy tapestry.
There are tonnes of options when it comes to decorating in a hippie style but everyone should start with a psychedelic tapestry. You can then base the room design around the tapestry by complimenting it's colours and creating a matching theme. This can be a very fun process and is both relaxing and rewarding.
The first step is to check out these trippy tapestries for sale. There is a wide variety of different wall hangings available at Toptapestries and you should pick one out that you feel drawn towards. Once you have decided on one, you should begin to visualise how you are going to compliment it with different decor items. One really easy and quick way to create a hippie vibe is to add some plants around the tapestry. This could be any type of plant so choose one that you think will work with the tapestry. Also make sure that it will survive indoors!
If you feel like going a step further, you can actually paint your room to fit in with the theme. This requires a bit more effort but if you plan properly, you can create a truly amazing effect. If you decided to get an ocean tapestry for example, you could paint your walls a nice sea blue colour and add in some ocean decor.
You should really try and get creative with your decorating and go for something original. There is a lot of inspiration online but I find it's a lot more fun to try and be totally original. If you're stuck for ideas, try and think of a theme that you would really like in your room. Let's say for example you want an African theme, you would start by getting yourself an elephant or lion tapestry. Once you have chosen the tapestry you would then start to decorate around it using African style decorations. This could be wooden animals, tribal ornaments or native instruments, the choice is entirely yours.
At the end of the day just be sure to have fun and get creative. If you're feeling stressed or a bit uninspired, decorating in the manner described can be hugely relieving and rewarding.
