Pave set wedding bands are becoming increasingly popular. When worn solo, pave setting diamond bands look stunningly beautiful and it can be a perfect companion to many different types of engagement rings.

First of all, you need to know what a pave setting is. Pave set bands look as if they are encrusted or covered with diamonds. Held in place with tiny bead settings and thus, they tend to blend in with the metal, more so if the metal is white like white gold. There can be multiple rows of diamonds or a single row, depending upon the width of the band as well as the size of the diamonds used.

The diamonds must be identical in size else the symmetry would be missing and the blend in effect wouldn’t come. In another style, the smaller diamonds can encircle the big central diamond. The diamonds can be placed all over the band or on the top side and the sides on the ring. The more diamonds you use, the more you pay for the ring.

Smaller diamonds cost less and often are preferred by most of us as we need to consider our budget. Many brides prefer pave settings over the solitaire rings. In pave settings, smaller diamonds are preferred over one big stone, surrounded by many smaller ones, as the big stone tends to capture all the attention.

Matching color effects increases the charm of pave settings. White diamonds go great with white metals like platinum, white gold or palladium and pink diamond does the same trick with rose gold. If traditional yellow gold is used, one should use the yellow diamonds.

Wedding rings which use pave settings needn’t be a simple band. Pave setting can also be used for curved wedding rings and the intertwined bands. One can also use pave setting along the edges of the wedding ring but then the wedding ring must be worn alone. If you wish to wear multiple rings in one finger, the pave setting ring must have smooth edges so that it doesn’t erode the metal of the other ring.

If you are looking for a very sparkling wedding ring, then pave wedding bands are perfect for you. The number and the size of the diamonds used would determine the final price of the ring. However, if budget is not a constraint, pave setting wedding rings and bands can really add the glitter to your wedding.
