LunarPages Web Hosting Review
Posted: Mar 23, 2012
Lunarpages Web Hosting
Lunarpages is a web hosting company that was founded in 1998. It initially offered its web hosting services for free, until they decided to charge a fee. They started out as a way of providing reasonably priced and dependable hosting for small businesses, confidential sites, ecommerce stores, and many more. They currently have clientele worldwide supported by three data centers based in the US. From its experience in the industry of over ten years, Lunarpages has been able to create tailor made web hosting solutions for its customers. This cannot be compared to most companies that provide one fit for all sites.
Lunarpages Hosting Features
You will be able to get a unique product that you can use to create, market, optimize and launch your projects and businesses. Lunarpages will help you each step of the way.
To start with, Lunarpages has a wide selection of web hosting solutions that can fit anyone. The only problem is that when you visit their web page you might be confused from all the products featured on the page. The products are good; it is just the presentation that makes it abit complicated. They should consider redesigning their site to make it simple.
On their products, you should get a starter pack with limited web hosting. You will however have to prepay your account for a year. If you want unlimited hosting, it will cost slightly more but you will also have to pay five years in advance. Most people will consider this abit over the top. If anything, many people would consider a one year service to see how it works.
Reliability
Over the years Lunarpages has had overloaded server problems, but we hope this is an issue of the past. When it comes to customer care, it is not clear where Lunar Pages stand. You can however reach them on restricted times on their toll free lines. There is also a company forum and blog that you can use to air your views.
What Others Say
Lunarpages uses its own custom made control panel they call Lunar Pages Control Panel (LPCP). They made the switch from cPanel to LPCP to save on operational cost. The problem is that when you still want to use cPanel, you have to pay for it. The main issue is that you will miss so many features when you use LPCP.
On a scale of 5, we give 2.
