Among various signs and symptoms of diabetes or blood sugar, fatigue is also a common symptom. Most diabetic people suffer from constant feeling of tiredness and exhaustion in routine life. They may feel so much down physically that they are unable to perform their normal physical tasks. It is all due to lack of energy in the body due to incomplete or sometimes total lack of combustion of sugar or glucose present in the blood into energy. Although most people are aware of this fact however some people are still ignorant about the mechanism of conversion of glucose or sugar into energy. Due to interruption in this normal process of glucose or sugar oxidation, the problem of lack of energy in the body arises. Consequently, diabetic patients may have constant feeling of dizziness, sleepiness and lethargy.

Reasons for physical weakness and exhaustion in diabetic people

Evidently, disturbance in the normal process of sugar combustion is chiefly responsible for physical weakness and exhaustion in diabetic people. Here are some of the chief reasons for fatigue and exhaustion in diabetic patients.

a. Diabetic patients experience fatigue and exhaustion as glucose or sugar present in the blood is not converted into energy completely. That is why the patients feel exhausted and tired all the times. b. When there is complete absence of insulin hormone in the body then sugar remains intact in the blood and doesn’t get converted into energy. This in turn causes severe problem of physical weakness, exhaustion and tiredness in the body. c. There is slow down in the blood circulation in the body cells. Consequently, cells don’t get proper supply of oxygen as well. Owing to same reason, there is feeling of sluggishness in the diabetic patients.

d. As a result of high blood glucose or sugar, there is inflammation in the blood vessels. Due to inflammation of the blood vessels, the monocytes i.e. immune cells get transferred to the brain thereby causing fatigue and tiredness in the patient.

e. Numerous types of infections are quite common in diabetic patients. It is again due to high blood sugar levels or high blood glucose. Due to infections, the diabetic patients have to spend more than normal energy to fight off the infection-causing microbes. For this reason, there is feeling of exhaustion and tiredness in the diabetic patients.

After reading all this it is quite clear that tiredness and exhaustion is quite common in diabetic patients. Hence there is no need to worry and getting panicked. It is a common condition that can be managed well using medicines. It is because diabetic patients may control their blood sugar using diabetes ayurvedic treatment.

With the help of medicines, the insulin hormone is secreted in normal requisite amounts in the body, when insulin hormone is present in the body in appropriate amounts then the sugar or glucose present in the blood is completely oxidized into energy. The energy thus produced is then used for various physical and mental processes and functions.
