Use spacious platesIt is obvious that if you use small plates relative to the big junks of food you might want to serve the visitors, you will be embarrassed: You might spill some of the food on the table. On the contrary, large plates are more spacious and therefore, when you are serving food, you will have nothing to fear about. Talk of carrying the plates to the dining table, or just arranging them on the kitchen counter; everything is just on point.
Use plates with unparalleled shapeYour visitors will form a certain impression about you and the food you serve them by simply looking at the shape of the serving plates. For instance, round plates are very common and therefore, they cannot draw in anyone’s mind. You have therefore to use plates with other unique shapes such as oval plates, square or even triangle. They also enable you explore new ways when arranging the dishes on the dining table.
Let your plates be plainThe main reason why you are serving food is to let the visitors enjoy. Although it is true that colorful plates with unparalleled design might look so impressive, they are as well efficient in distracting the visitor’s attention. You have to use plain plates so that your visitors can concentrate on the food rather than the color patterns. Moreover, you have to choose a color that is quite bright such as white. When serving vegetables on the same plate, they should assume the 2 and the 11th positions of the clock. This will make everything perfect!
Avert from symmetry: Be oddWhen you are dealing with food, you have to avoid symmetry as much as possible. For instance, arrange the food. Your ingredients should have odd numbers to improve the look so that anyone can be drawn to it.
