The Father of the Indian Poultry Industry, Padmashree Dr. B.V.Rao, established the Venky’s in the year 1971. Venkys (India) Ltd’s chief business segment is poultry and poultry products consisting of production and sale of day old broiler and layer chicks, processed chicken products, specific pathogen free eggs and poultry. It belongs to the FMCG Food sector. Since budget, the sector has moved up by more than 49 per cent and post Brexit, it moved above 28 per cent.

Venkys share price is seen to quote above 7 per cent at Rs. 547.90. The stock opened at Rs. 523.90 against its previous closing at Rs. 511.05. The company has a market cap amounting to Rs. 719.93 (Cr) with a book value of Rs. 276.86.

For the June 2016 quarter end, the net profit of Venkys has noted a growth of 159.04% Y-o-Y to Rs.40.98 cr as compared to Rs 15.82 cr during the same quarter last financial year owing to the increase in sale.

Venky’s has turned to be the largest poultry producers in the country and is well equipped to look into growing demand. The poultry industry is anticipated to retain its growth rates in the coming years as well. The outlook for the year 2016-17might be better as compared to the year ended 31st March, 2016.

Can Fin Homes

Today, CanFin Homes is one of the important players in the housing finance sector, in the country. Incorporated in 1987, CanFin Homes Ltd was set up under the sponsorship of Canara Bank. It offers an array of loan products, housing loans as well as non-housing loans, at competitive interest rates and designed to cater to the needs of the customer. The first housing company to be promoted by a nationalized bank in India, CanFin Homes believes in promoting home ownership and increasing the housing stock in the country.

As of 29th September CanFin Homes share price was quoting above 3 per cent. The stock opened at Rs. 1650.55 touching the days high and low at Rs. 1697.90 and Rs. 1600.00. Can Fin Homes belong to the sector of financial services-NBFC. Since budget the sector has moved about 50 per cent and post brexit it has gone up by 25 per cent.

Quarterly Results

For the quarter ended June 2016, the total income from operations of Can Fin Homes has reported a growth of 27 per cent on Y-o-Y basis to Rs. 309.62 cr as against Rs. 242.53 cr during the same quarter last year.

The net profit of Can Fin Homes has registered a growth of 54 per cent Y-o-Y to Rs. 49.73 cr as against Rs 35.38 cr during the same quarter previous year.

The earnings per share of the company have grown to Rs. 18.68 as against Rs. 12.06 during the same quarter last year.

As of now, Can Fin Homes share price dipped below 1.70 per cent quoting at Rs. 1620.00.
