Ways to Simplify Web Authentication Process!
Posted: Oct 20, 2016
Signing up to a website is not easy, one has to fill long forms to authenticate. For users filling form is not an interesting task but for businesses the process is very important to gather user details. But the problem is, a user does not like forms and leave the website immediately in search of better one. To eliminate such situation and save businesses from the shortage of customers, IT team came up with many methods. Here I am going to discuss some of them in brief.
- Social login:
Social login or social sign-in is an interesting method that enables users to login website using his/her social media account. Today we all have accounts on many social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc. The social login method simply eliminates the need of filling long, boring and frustrating registration forms. It saves users time and provides first-party data to businesses.
- Single Sign-On:
It is an interesting way of authentication to multiple websites. For businesses that have two or more than two websites, the method is very effective. Generally, users have to authenticate different websites of an organization with different ID credentials. The process simply wastes user’s time. But Web single sign-on or WSSO is a technology that makes users to login websites by using one set of credentials. Once a user login to a website that is protected with SSO solution then he can access any website without needing to sign in again. The best part of the solution is, it drives single customer view of the customers. This is must for business to know their user’s real identity.
- Biometric Login:
The biometric solution completely eliminates the need of passwords. With this technology one can easily login to systems using his/her thumb impression, retina scanning etc. That means there is no more passwords. The method is highly secure. Since there is no passwords, hackers cannot hack the systems that is protected with the biometric method.
So, friends, these are some methods that saves users from frustrating authentication process. If you have any other point, let me know in comments.
