IIM Ranchi Raises The Placement Standard

Placements are always a big question for any MBA aspirant to whatever college he or she may apply. All the colleges whether at the graduate level or Post Graduate level keep a close eye on Placements because over time colleges have realized that placements paly a crucial role in the admission process. No college, not even the IIM's go untouched by this. Recently the latest jewel in the IIM family IIM Ranchi created a new record for Placement in 2016. According to the final Placement record of 2016 IIM Ranchi has crossed standard of past Five years and has shown a strong rise in placements with 171 offers made to the 156 PGDM and PGDHRM students. PGDHRM which is one in a kind course as IIM Ranchi is the only IIM that has this course wich is structured by NHRDN and constantly moderated by the academicians and industry experts.
IIM Ranchi has busted the myth of so many economic pandits who talk about the economic slowdown and was able to maintain its upward trend in placement for another consecutive year.
Key Placement trends
IIM Ranchi has seen an upward trend in the number of recruiters highest salary and average salary.
Large batch size
The Batch of 2014-16 comprises 160 students. Out of which, 122 students were in PGDM, and 38 students were in PGDHRM.
Four students did not participate in the Placements of 2016 and had opted out to explore entrepreneurship or other opportunities.
Sales and Marketing were the most preferred functional area for IIM Ranchi graduates. Consulting, Finance, IT & Analytics, Operations and General Management were equally preferred. The rise in placements was corroborated well by the increase in the average compensation by 13%. Around 12% of the batch has received job offers more than 20 LPA. The average CTC between top 25% to 50% stands about 16.98 LPA or 19.73 LPA.
IIM Ranchi crushed the slowdown in placement offers, and PGDM students saw an overall rise regarding an average salary. The highest salary for an international placement is Rs55.23 Lakhs and for highest domestic salary it stands out at Rs.25.5 lakhs for PGDM batch.
The average wage for PGDHRM 2014-16 batch is increased to Rs.13.49 lakhs in placement 2016 from Rs.12.6 lakhs in 2015. The highest salary this year has gone upto Rs.20.2 lakhs in from Rs.17 lakhs in 2015.
