Sometimes it is really difficult for pro users to understand what has happened and why and when an engine fails. People don't pay much attention to engine unless the car stops in the middle of the road or somewhere else. And in the result, it is the engine that pays the price. This article will help you to understand that how to avoid common causes of failure in the first place of piston and engine valve.

Most of the time the damage on the piston skirt is origin by debris getting through the air filtering system. The horizontal machine marks all across the bottom indicate extreme wear on the lower part of the skirt. Only the intake side of the piston carrying the damage. Because another side of the piston is not exposed to an intake port, so it stays safe at early stages.

There are times when piston wears out due to over-speeding. So you have to recognize best Piston manufacturer in India. You need to observe the piston material between the ring lands. You would find a big piece of it is missing and some went thinner, creating a super-wide ring-land. You also may find that the edge is rounded over, that indicates that the rings were catching in the exhaust port. When this happened, this alarmed a frequency vibration, eventually breaking the ring-land.

The piston also can be damaged from Heat Seizure, this is caused by over-revving the saw, running the carburetor adjustment way too much lean, when you ignore an air leak in the saw's engine with another bunch of factors. The question is how to avoid this, it is very simple, always use good quality fuel and mix oil, avoid over-revving the engine, and always pay attention to signs even when they are of potential air leak. There are many other reasons but these are just a few.

Enough for the pistons let's talk about engine valve. Everyone knows that valve will eventually wear out if used for enough miles. But do you know that many valves give up pretty soon because of burning or breakage? This is first of many reasons of engine valve failure

It is normal that exhaust valves burn more than any other valve because they run hotter than the intakes. The intake valves are kept cool via the incoming air and fuel and consequently, operate at approx. 800 degrees F. but opposite of that exhaust valves receive a very little cooling and are blasted by the hot burning gases as they exit through the exhaust port. They run at 1200 to 1350 degrees F. on average, that is why they are more assailable to aerosion and burning than intakes.

The intake and exhaust valves work with physical contact with the valve seat and guide for cooling. More than 50 percent of the combustion heat that is conducted away from the valve goes through the seat, so good seat contact is a must for prevent burning. Rest, less than 20 percent of the heat is dissipated up through the valve stem and out through the guides. If the valves do not receive satisfactory cooling, it will overheat, burn and fail eventually.
