Jee advanced 2017 15- day preparation guide

Joint Entrance Examination Advanced is an engineering examination which is conducted every year all over the country to offer admission to candidates who aspire to be engineers. The examination offers admission to some very prestigious engineering colleges of India. Students who clear the cut-off of JEE Mains can only appear for JEE Advanced. Preparing for JEE Advanced can be very stressful for the candidate which is why we bring to you some last moment preparation tips for the examination which are likely to produce results if followed efficiently.

JEE Advanced 2017 is composed of three sections- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The most important topics asked in each subject along with their weightage is as given under-
PHYSICS:
Units and dimensions carry a weightage of 2%, measurement of errors carries a weightage of 2% and vectors are all considered as the basic concepts which a student must know. At least one question from each topic is expected in the exam.
Every year 8 questions from current electricity, 4 questions from electrostatics, 3 questions from optics and 2 questions from waves are asked in the examination.
MATHEMATICS:
Inverse trigonometric functions carry a weightage of 2%, circles and family of circles carry a weightage of 6% and sequence and series carry a weightage of 5% and all of these topics are considered as the fundamentals of mathematics and one can expect at least 1-2 questions from each of these topics.
Every year 7 questions from co-ordinate geometry, 3 questions from continuity limits, 3 questions from integral calculus, 2 questions from trigonometry and 2 questions from sequence and series are asked in the examination.
CHEMISTRY:
IUPAC nomenclature, periodic table and chemical bonding which carries a weightage of 5% are all fundamental topics in chemistry and a candidate can easily secure a good rank provided all these concepts are clear.
Every year around 3 questions are asked from transition element and co-ordinate geometry, 3 questions from periodic table and representative elements, 2 questions from gaseous state, 2 questions from atomic structure, 1 question from hydrocarbons and 2 questions from solution and colligative properties are asked in the examination.
It is important for the candidates to prepare a proper study plan and go through the previous exam papers so as to gather an insight into the important topics. All the topics mentioned above should be thoroughly prepared and revised before appearing for the examination.
