Coolest Offices In The Philippines
Posted: Nov 24, 2016
The architecture industry in the Philippines has come a long way. Today, several architectural developments are established to promote sustainability and improve the quality of life.
One of the trends in the spotlight is practicing the mixed-use design. In the Philippines, combining residential and commercial amenities in a certain building or structure is common among the various real estate companies.
On the other hand, trends are not only noticeable in houses and condominiums. Now, even offices have their own set of trends that revolutionize the common workplace design and can increase the well-being of their employees as well. Some offices go beyond the normal white washed walls and modernize their spaces in the most aesthetic way they could. Entice yourself as you enter these coolest offices in the Philippines.
Migo
Migo is a digital content company that gives entertainment to its consumers by providing them various TV shows, movies, and even documentaries. As a company that gives entertainment, Migo wants to incorporate "entertainment" into their workplace by creating a conducive workplace where their employees (also called Imagineers) would be inspired and keep them productive and entertained at the same time. To achieve this, the place has an informal office setting—no walls or divisions—that let its employees interact, collaborate, and share their ideas easily and effectively. Apart from the two S-shaped tables that served as the workstation of every employee, there are also huddle spaces that can be used by different teams when conducting meetings and brainstorming.
Avida Land
Known for developing and building affordable yet well-designed houses and condominiums, it is no wonder that Avida Land’s new office in Taguig is beautifully designed and offers every employee a refreshing way to start their day right.
As you walk into the office, you would think that you are in an art gallery or museum because different arts and decors are placed all over the workplace. One of the unique features of the two-storey office is the family room. The space was created as a temporary nook for kids who wait for their parents. To keep them entertained, the management provides various amusements, such as board games, magazines, and gadgets like Xbox and Kinect. Definitely, a sensible alternative rather than let them hang around at their parents’ cubicle.
Since they are supporters of sustainable living, most of the materials used in building the office are reused and repurposed woods from their old site. The unfinished surfaces and concretes make the whole place a one-of-a-kind industrial art.
Moreover, the company prefers not to have high dividers as these encourage open communication and collaboration among different teams.
Iflix Philippines
Having the tagline "let’s play", Iflix Philippines go beyond the typical bald office that has compact cubicles and plain walls and transform their workplace into an exciting and playful one.
The office is one big open floor resembles a playground since one of their core values is to be "playful." They don’t have the typical cubicles instead they have long tables that can be transformed into gaming ones. They also have a small corner that contains TV screens and gaming consoles where an employee can spend his or her break time. Definitely, these trends are great way to motivate employees.
Having an awesome office and workplace is some of the deciding factors of a job seeker when choosing a company. Not only that it is beautifully good for the eye, it also contributes to the well-being of an employee.
