Fire dampers are mostly used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, for they are helpful in preventing fire to get spread inside the ductwork. The fire dampers work as a fire production product, so the floor and walls of the damper are manufactured in a way that they have to be totally fire-resistant.

Fire dampers suppliers in UAE

Fire dampers suppliers in Dubai are dealing in supplying the fire dampers that have been built with capabilities of a smoke damper. The smoke damper functions by preventing the spread of smoke inside the building through the air conditioning ducts.

There are few types of fire dampers that work differently according to their specifications, but they all function as the medium to stop a fire from spreading through the ducts and reach inside the building.

1.Motorized Fire Resisting Dampers:

A motorized fire damper has been specially manufactured to deal the opening at the plane of the wall or floor in case of fire. This type of fire resisting damper uses compartment floors walls to control the spread of fire. An installed thermal release mechanism is used in mechanical fire dampers, which is similar to the mechanism of curtain fire damper. The thermal release is in the form of spring, where the spring has the property of melting. The spring melts after coming in contact with intense heat. The melted spring then adheres and accumulates at the open space. This results in the damper to get closed immediately and thus prevent the flames from spreading.

2. Multi-blade Fire Dampers:

The multi-blade fire dampers have multiple linked pivoting blades that fixed and situated within a frame. These varieties of dampers also release thermal mechanism where blades are released from their original positions in case of fire hazards; these blades then stop a fire from passing. They do it by moving closer to the airway.

3. Multi-Section Dampers:

This is another type o fire damper when is used in ducts which are larger than the size of the damper. The fire damper suppliers in Dubai provide multi-section units for these dampers. They can set up on site thanks to the joining strip.

4. Curtain Fire Dampers:

These are one of the most common fire dampers; their most common specification is the series of interlocking blades. Usually, these blades remain folded on the top of the damper and do not interfere with the flow of air in the airway. But in the case of fire, these blades function under the thermal release mechanism, and they help open. The blades then interlock with each other and lock the open space completely; they do not let the air and fire to spread through the duct and thus prevent it from spreading fire.

5. Intumescent Fire Resisting Dampers:

This type of fire damper is known as intumescent fire resisting damper because this system incorporates different components, which when kept in contact with heat; tend to expand their area and close the airway eventually. These components are purposeful, for they stop the spreading of fire. Here, in these fire dampers, essential components are the intumescent materials for fire protection. This system often corporates few mechanical devices to prevent the leakage of cold smoke. One of the variants of these dampers incorporates an electro-mechanical device. This type of fire damper also use a fire alarm panel; this panel has a smoke sensor. The smoke sensors are used with the damper to help offer cold smoke containment.

Hence, above is the list of different varieties of fire dampers. Those descriptions can be helpful when choosing the right fire damper for your building or office room.
