  5. Haritaki or harde is considered as a herb that cures all ailments. It promotes growth of tissues and removes wastes from the body.
  6. Rasaunt (raswanti, rasanjana) is the extract of the roots of Berberis (berberidaceae) and has been in use since ages not only for bleeding piles but also for ulcers, jaundice, liver, spleen and kidney ailments. It is antiviral and antiprotozoal.
  7. Kalijiri is anthelmintic, febrifuge and anti-inflammatory, helping reduce swollen haemorrhoids.
  8. Indrajau or kadu is useful in intestinal disorders, has a calming effect and removes worms.
  9. Khun Shosha or dragon's blood is the red resin exuded by the fruit of the palm species daemonorops draco blume, containing active polysaccharides with anticoagulant properties. It is effective in intestinal disorders and in curing ulcers, proving beneficial in piles.
  10. Shudh takan or tankan or purified borax soothes and heals.
