International Relations Cambridge University Summer School – A Thing or Two
The Cambridge Immerse International Relations curriculum is aimed to deliver a vital theoretical foundation in contemporary International Relations and Political Science. The curriculum is designed to let the participants learn to tackle key questions and debates related to the global politics.
The course enables students to uncover the variety of relations being shared between states through neo-realist, neo-liberal, constructivist and post-structuralist approaches. This unique approach to learning instils intellectual curiosity and skills in the students to learn more about different topics including:
- The EU as an International Actor
- The UN, regional organizations and global order
- China’s Rise and What it Means for the World
- The External Dimension of the EU’s Migration Policy
- Collective Identities in a Global Age
Along with this, the curriculum includes a group project that enhances research skills of the students.
The curriculum encompasses following topics:
Introduction to International Relations Theory
This class will look at the two major spheres of IR analysis: Neoliberalism and Realism. It will also enable students understand different critical theories – Marxian, Feminist and post-colonial theories.
The Asian Economics
As the name suggests, the Asian Economics enable student gain insight into critical Asian international political economic scenarios, particularly China.
Africa – a bright future ahead?
In this class, students would understand how Africa has emerged as one of the major players on the international sphere, affecting global economies in all aspects.
Along with this, other topics of the curriculum would help you shape your career in international relations.
