Dr. Sameer Hinduja is a professor in the school of criminology and criminal justice at Florida Atlantic University and Co-Director of the cyberbullying Research Center. Cyberbullying could be sharing or sending threatening messages through any social media taunting or ridicule someone in an online chat room; forwarding embarrassing emails, photos, videos or any other media that were meant to be personal or threatening someone through twitter or Facebook posts or updates where all their friends or relative could see. The rise of the internet and other social media interactive, mobile technologies has no doubt lent or provide much in the way of teaching options, material and diversity to the average classroom. But this advancement of technology accessibility has also facilitated the rise of a dangerous, at times form of online bullying and this online bullying is known as cyberbullying.
