Motivational Speakers have always been around. If not as professionals, they have been there as normal individuals who, throughout history, have propelled people towards the brighter future. Some have motivated others from the example of their own life, others have been great orators who were able move people through the sheer power of their words. The diversity exists as per the cultural changes of a location, the problems which people of a specific region face, and many other such factors. For example, motivational speakers in India are not only influenced about their thought process due to their region-centric experiences, but also are also catering to problems or concerns which people face majorly due to the cultural lifestyle of their regions. Each country has a different lifestyle and a happiness quotient. This sense of happiness and satisfaction is what defines how motivated the individuals of that country are and for what purpose in their life they seek further motivation.

The best of motivational speakers ensure that they understand the target audience which they are catering to and therefore, mold not only their speech accordingly but also the overall communication and stories which they share, in the same manner. Having said that, a lot of pseudo motivational speakers have been on the rise lately as they tend to emulate the speaking styles of the existing ones, tweak the speeches a little an tend to carve out a career in the process. What they fail to understand is that the process of infusing motivation in people is always a tailor-made task and not one which can be done my replicating the content.

On comparative analysis of the types of motivational speakers in India and other countries, it can be noted that the ones who are able to communicate well, even if in their regional language and not in English, are able to connect on much deeper emotional levels with their audience as compared to the ones who speak in global language of communication i.e. English, in complete fluency, but are not able to strike the emotional chord with the listeners due to weak content and connect. Also, it is noted that the ones who can intuitively gauge the concerns of majority of the target audience have a better chance of winning the trust of their audience, hence, making them more open to be accepted by their listeners, thereby leading to better reception.

Therefore, with utmost importance, it is suggested to all the motivational speakers should understand the following things:

a.) Who their audience is going to be? What age group, location, interest areas, etc. they will have

b.) What are the general life aspirations and challenges which the people of their target audience usually experience

c.) Create strong content. If your content is strong, people will be able to follow.

d.) Cite relevant examples: The examples and stories should be relevant an in context to the target audience.

Only then, they will be able to move people towards creating a happy life.
