The exam conducted by CBSE, requires not only hard work, but also knowledge of the right technique to clear it. It is important to ensure your preparation is in the right direction.

Some of the mistakes you must avoid while preparing for NEET are:

  1. Time- table is the most efficient and effective way to prepare for NEET. Strictly following them would help any candidate to go through last minute revisions and control anxiety in a better way. The entire portion would be covered easily before the exam without any hassle
  2. Do not let your study routine affect your sleep, meals and any other usual routine. Keep taking breaks in between as too much of study can affect your retention and cause you fatigue.
  3. Reference books and other material could be considered useful but you cannot afford to ignore NCERT preparation. The reference material would be consisting of only 70-80% of the NCERT Material.
  4. Reference Material should not be followed to an extent wherein it leads to too much of confusion because each of them follows a different approach.
  5. A strategy which is focused on skipping one subject when students experience an overdose of preparation, is not correct as they may end up rendering easy questions in a particular subject owing to lack of preparation.
  6. Have your own preparation strategy. Not everyone studies the same way. With your own strategy, you can know where you go right or wrong and from thereon mold your strategy in accordance with your skills.
  7. Do not use rote learning as a method for memorizing your questions. You miss out on vital facts when you use this method.
  8. Read and understand the question before attempting the exam.
