An NGO is a charitable foundation that serves the society with a good cause. Private foundations commonly fit into two classifications:

  • Private operating foundations, which actually organizes the charitable activities that are funded with their own investment income.
  • Private non-operating foundations purely disburse the funds to other non-profit organizations.
  • NGO foundation in India plays a major role in eliminating poverty, spreading education, aware the society with the children’s and women rights, and thus, works for the betterment of the society. The foundations are known as the non-profit organizations because they don’t earn profits for serving the society with a good cause. You must be thinking then how these foundations work without funds? The government and society grant the funds to these foundations to remove the hurdles in the path of serving a good cause. Therefore, NGOs are run on the donations or funds that are made available by the individual, corporations, institutions, or the government. The team of NGO foundations engages themselves in fundraising activities to carry out their good cause.
