IMS: College information and recent events

IMS Noida is one of the leading educational institutions in India that is approved by AICTE and conferred with A Grade Accreditation by NAAC and AIU. Recently, it had organized an event titled "IMS Utsav" celebrating 20 years of being in the education sector which was attended widely by faculty members, students and popular alumni of the institute.

The event was organized aiming at encouraging and fueling passionate ideas of startup ventures, in general powering the creativity and innovation inherent in the student community. The institution expressed pride in its students by recognizing their success – Student Rank holders, Alumni and Faculty members. There was also a cultural segment which was entertaining and kept the audience in high spirits. The guest panel was studded by the Management team of IMS Noida, Ex-Captain of the Indian Hockey Team and the First Secretary of Columbian Embassy situated in India to mention a few among reputed others.

The institute is also known for its in-house radio station called Salaam Namaste Community Radio which was recently in focus for being conferred the eNGO Challenge Award. Salaam Shakti, an initiative fueled by their radio station, is a program that endorses women empowerment, by giving strong identities to economically independent women who are engaged in their respective businesses on a modest scale. It connects such women to the listening population at large with their ideas, challenges and their pursuits in developing their businesses.

It has also ventured into providing international exposure to students by way of recent collaboration with SKEMA University, France for management oriented courses. The move would be providing an opportunity for the management students to get exposure at an international level which would give them the requisite skills to succeed.

SKEMA business schools offer programs specializing in International marketing, Finance, Tourism Management, Project Management, Fashion and International Business.

Ims Noida has tracked down its future course of plans by means of outlining the following objectives:

1. Placement priority: The student community should be trained effectively in soft skills and have an internship experience to be skilled and employable. This approach would help them bag offers in reputed companies.
2. Specialization: Specializations that are not theoretical but relevant to career applications are being given priority and introduced in the course curriculum of students to make them employable.
3. Skill Labs: This initiative has been planned with an aim of offering practical education to students and to get them have an overview of the real-time situations.
4. Personality building programs: An efficient and effective personality adept at handling challenging situations is what helps a human resource truly realize his potential. Such programs would be organized to make students hone the right attitude and relevant skill sets.
